In my heart and mind, there is absolutely nothing fun about today's fact. Today is the day that we remember our sweet Saviour's sacrifice for us. Today is the day, many years ago, that he was beaten, scorned, spat on, tortured, and finally crucified....for us. Today is the day that he had to watch his earthly mother agonize over his death. Today is the day that our God & King had to watch his only son be killed....for us. Today is the day, it was finished and Satan thought he had the victory.
No, there is nothing fun about today's fact. Nothing at all.....but it is something else. It is freeing. It is full of hope. It is full of promise. It is full of Love like no other. And, it really is FACT. Christ died today to make us new, to cleanse us, and to save us. Christ died today so that we could spend eternity with him in Heaven.
Let's all walk in HIS victory today. Let's all remember and be grateful for the hope and promise that is ours. Don't let Satan convince you this weekend that you are defeated, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE. He was wrong many years ago, and he still is. The Victory is ours, thanks to the cross.
Bask in and enjoy your Resurrection Morning.

Well said, well said, indeed!! This 'Good Friday' is 'God's Friday'!
Amen!
You are a great thinker and a great writer. I pray that we all remember what this weekend is about. It is fact and it is hope! Jesus died for all of us and I know that I often have to remind myself of that.
Thanks for reminding us what Good Friday is all about. It's nice to focus on what's really important. I also love the meme, but couldn't decide which of the 8 books I'm trying to read all at once to use. I also LOVED the recipe blog. Too cool. I'm waiting for you to go ahead and publish a book. It would be a best seller.
Shana,
I hope you are feeling better this Monday morning! We missed you greatly yesterday and were sorry to hear you were so sick this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
Love you,
Cyndi
Thank you for emphasizing the true meaning of Easter!
Okay, okay, if you promise to bring it-I'll add you back...LOL. No, really, what's up with losing all your links when you change? I'm not going to change it very much...it's waaaaaayyy more time consuming than I thought. Seriously, I never even knew I left you off. AND to think-I added Shelley and she NEVER updates her blog...LOL. Don't tell her I said that.
