The time has come folks. The day is here. My little guy started school today. He was ready, no apprehension......well, except last night he told me he wasn't happy that he had to take a nap. I assured him that he didn't have to go to sleep, that he only had to lay down for a while, and that seemed to satisfy. That was last night just before bed, and this morning, he got up and was ready to go. He chose to take his lunch today, but I think he just liked the idea of taking his cool lunch box. He ordered PB&J, grapes, and cookies with apple juice to drink. I'll be curious to see if he decides to eat what he brought or eat at school. We'll see, I guess.
Yesterday, we went to orientation. We met his teacher, Ms. A and the para-pro, Mrs. C. We saw his cubby, backpack hook, his seat, and the rest of the classroom. We checked out the lunch room, the library, and the gym.

C-O-O-L! That spells kewl (as Bryn would say it!) May you have a peaceful, non worrisome, great, awesome day BECAUSE I KNOW he will.
How's it feel to be a mom of a school age child. I just want to remind you that you only have 5 and 1/2 years before he starts youth group. It's a wild and wacky time. Enjoy every little morsel of it.
Terri
Where have the years gone?? It seems like just yesterday I was holding your little man in the hospital room. And now he's so grown.
Terri - thankyouverymuch, but I did not need that extra bit of info! :)
WAY TO GO BRYCE!!
I hope you have a great first day!!!
Darling pictures!
I echo Tammy---we were just sitting at the hospital with our ears on the door trying to hear what was going on---and now he is going to school. Wow.
Many blessings sweet Bryce!
It is not really time for Bryce to go to school yet right? I thought he was just a really mature for his age, tall five year old. Time goes way to fast.
This is just to emotionally draining for a grandmother.
It's bad enough that his feet drag the ground when I
hold him-----yes, I said hold him but, to see him with his book bag all ready to go out into the world makes my heart hurt. I'm so thankful God allowed me to be here for it. God's speed Bryce!
Love ya,
Granda
My goodness! He DOES look so grown up! I can't believe he is starting Kindergarten. I hope he had a wonderful day and that you had a peaceful day! He looked great and so excited about his day!
Terri-- thankyouverymuch also! We didn't need to know that our 'little ones' are THAT close to being in the youth group!! That is NOT RIGHT!!!! Is this SUPPOSED to ENCOURAGE US???
Bryce- you look great little man!
Love ya,
Cyndi
Where has the time gone! He looked great his first day at school.
Terri- I sure did not need to be reminded of the time line. thankyouverymuch
I hope he had a wonderful first day, and I am sure he did. I love that everyone is documenting these times with pictures. He will cherish those as much as you do in years to come.
