Sara Kate's Prayer

So, last night after church, Sara Kate's teacher came up to me and said that Sara Kate shared a request during prayer time. Immediately, my heart warmed. That kind of statement surely makes a mother proud. "What did the sweet dear pray about?", you ask. And I quote, "Pray that mommy won't be mean at me anymore."

NICE! "Never mind," I stated in protest, "that she was acting like the devil himself when I had to be "mean." Um, that being proud part that I mentioned earlier? Yeah, well not so much.

I'll be anxiously awaiting all the "Mother of the Year" nominations!!

Don't feel bad! We all have those stories. Will decided in kindergarten to do a "tell and tell" instead of a "show and tell". Well, that should just strike fear in every mom's heart!!! He shared that "uncle Roger"(who's not really his uncle) got stung by a jellyfish on his pee pee. Not a fun story for me-you know how I found out about it. Well, at openhouse-I was sitting at a table with all those other perfect mommies from CHS. One of them said that their little darlin' came home and said (gasp) that some little boy had shared that their uncle had been stung on the peepee by a jellyfish during "show and tell". Now, I knew the story-so I knew exactly who she was talking about. Not a fun moment.

LOL! That child just may be well on her way to winning an oscar one day! :) At least then she will have enough money to pay for all the therapy she will need because of her mean mother!

We had a child ask for prayer for her gerbil one wed. night. She said please pray that mommie won't
give away my blankety blank gerbil.
The blanks were the same as what the Bible says about taking God's name in vain. That was quite shocking!
Also remember little children think anything less than a hug and a kiss is mean. The exception of course is when they are on the giving out side.
I love being with Sara Kate at the ballgames. She is so precious. I hope to get to watch Bryce play soon.
Love ya

Bless your heart. (Sara Kates that is. I prayed for years that you would quit being mean to me..... It took me moving out for that to happen.) You can come live with Aunt Sissy my precious. Although, Maci and Bayley would probably advise you that you would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

That's so cute. I can't believe that. She's a little stinker. When I was little, my Nanny Ree came to school to check me out and she had been stern with me the night before so I told the office that I had never seen her in my life. They had to call my mom to the school to verify that she could leave with me because I swore I didn't know her. Kids.
