A Beautiful, Must Read

I saw this post mentioned on another blog I read a lot. It is a beautiful, beautiful must read. It is such a wonderful illustration, and has had me crying for the last half hour.

To give you a tiny bit of background, it was written by Angie Smith, wife of Todd Smith (of Selah). Very recently, they lost their newborn daughter within hours of her birth. They had been told of the diagnosis and chose to carry her until God took her home. This happened fairly recently, and this post, though it doesn't directly speak of the specifics or even much about it at all, stems from their loss.

Again, you really need to read it. Go here. You. Will. Be. Blessed.

Wow, Shana...that really spoke to me...of where I am, where I've been, and where I'm going. I love these blogs. I truly do feel that God is using these in more ways than we can imagine.
Hugs,
Terri

Shana, not to comment twice on the same post, but this really spoke to me when I read it this morning. It was one of those things that God put an exclamation point on to be sure I was listening. You see-yesterday, I was talking to someone about the fall TD weekend. The rector is considering using "pottery" as part of theme. I thought that was unique and really great. Well, then I got up this morning and read this. I then went outside to read and journal for a while. Prov. 26(part of my devotional) also references cracked and glazed over pottery. I told God I was listening, really I am.
Hugs,
Terri

I got hooked too. I stayed up and sobbed as I read the older posts. It is truly an amazing testimony.....and she writes in a way that is, just very transparent and .........normal (for lack of a better word) just like she was sitting here in your living room conversing.

But I still really enjoyed the whole pottery analogy too. I even re-read it again today.

Glad to pass along, and glad it was enjoyable to y'all.

That was an amazing read. It spoke volumes to me - all those cracks and imperfections that I want to be hidden away - but God uses those to pour himself out. I'm still holding back the tears as I write this. That was a powerful message. Thank you for sharing it with us Shana.

The part where she put it back together was so "full circle" in her healing process. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing that link.

Shana, check out the "Bring the Rain" blog today. I was in shock. Nicol Sponberg's baby died last night. Thought you would want to be in prayer.
love you,
Terri

Shana,

I read this post last night and then read through their blog and I was in tears. That post was emotional as well as their story! Thank you for sharing. I love reading what Angie has to say.

Also, I was so sad to read her post today. I am terribly sad at the lost of little Luke Sponberg. Thank you for pointing us in the direction of this blog so that we can be praying for this family during this horrible time!

Love you,

Cyndi

yeah, it is me again...I have since read the complete Bring the Rain blog. After soaked shirt and boxes of Kleenex I can finely blubber...Blessed is an understatement. I have never encountered something so completely life changing in my life. Everything looks completely different now. My eyes have been opened. The scales have been removed. . .
